D-Link 802.11n Wireless Router

I just bought D-Link 802.11n wireless router and i'm glad i made the right choice. It's very easy to install and setup. I connected the router to my DSL modem. It has 2 external antennas and the wireless signal is excellent. It comes with a network magic cd that will guide you in your setup and manangement of connections. Aside from sharing internet connection, you can share printers and other files. Just follow the instructions in the manual or cd.

Don't forget to setup your own password for protection. The router also has firewall protection, secure wireless protection using WPA and WEP. Also make sure to that you have an internet connection and that you configure the connection before setting up or connecting the wireless router to your modem and computer.

If you're gonna buy a wireless router, choose the "N" type. It is much faster, transmits better and covers wireless signals at a greater distance compared to "G" type.

This is a multi-function printer. You can print, scan, copy and it reads usb flashdisks without the use of a computer. Print speeds up to 30ppm black and 25ppm color.Along with the printer, you'll receive :

I bought this printer because of its multifunction feature and the cartridges are not that expensive compared with other printers. Fast Normal Printing Option is quite fast. The problems i encountered were:

1) Most of the time, the transfer of data from pc to printer is very slow especially if you'll print more than 10 pages.

2) I had trouble with the feeding of the papers.I wasted many papers when i printed back to back because it eats up or feeds 2 or more pages. It's hard to print odd&even numbers back to back because of this problem.

My Favorite PS1&2 Games

I started to become addicted to computer games when Playstation 1 was launched.It is hard to recall the games i played but here here are some of the games i was able to finish:
1)Resident Evil 1,2&3
- Who wouldn't know this game? I hope you have unlocked the secrets and bonus games.
2) Silent Hill 1
- I think this is one of the scariest game I ever played. Maybe because the atmosphere is always dark and you're only holding a flashlight.

- Very easy game play
4)Theme Hospital
- Very addicting. You get to build, manage the hospital and cure the weirdest diseases. You will even have visitors from other planets!
5)The Guardian
- For children
6) Azure Dreams
- I enjoyed this game alot! You get to search for eggs in a tower, hatch them and raise monsters.
7) Suikoden2,3,5
- My favorites are Suikoden 2 and 5, especially the cook-off in Suikoden 2

- The best Final Fantasy game!

DOS GAMES

Can you still remember the good old DOS games? There are many addicting dos games that you should check out.The games are usually point and click or you right down an action the character should do. I recommend the following:

1) Maniac Mansion

This is a funny,horror-mystery rpg released by Lucas Films. Dave is going to save his kidnapped girlfriend. There are multiple characters and various endings. This is quite creepy and gorry.Very addicting!

2) Pizza Tycoon

You get to buy and run your own restaurants and create pizza recipes. You will also decorate your restaurants, buy ingredients, etc. Really great game!

3) Princess Maker

A simulatiom game wherein you help a child transform to a princess. You get to improve her skills, buy dresses, etc.

4) MadTv

In this game, you manage a television network. You get to choose which films to show everyday and earn money.

5) 5 Days A Stranger

A point and click adventure-mystery game. You get to solve the mystery of the mansion and get out there alive.

Smart Bro USB Modem

I just purchased Smart Bro USB modem. It comes with an installation cd and connector. It is much cheaper now, probably because u only get to have P100 worth of free internet unlike, the previous package with P300 worth pf free internet.

The cd is very easy to install and the modem has very high signal. The file transfer or wireless connection is really fast! The usb is very handy and you can connect your laptop with the internet wherever you go. You load up your modem just like loading your cellphones. You can even go to the store for e-load or ask your friends and family for pasaload.

Internet connection costs P10 per 30minutes. Downloading is very fast but i dont recommend that you use the modem 5hrs a day. It's costly to surf that long.

If you dont have a cellphone with usb modem, i recommend using smartbro usb modem for people on the go.

SUPER PETS

If you have a Friendster account, be sure to install the Super Pets application. It is a simulation game, much like a tamagochi but hundred times better. You get to choose your pet: dog, cat, penguin, duck, monkey, etc and customize it. There are various options to customize your pet so it will be unique and appropriate to your taste. You get to dress it up, feed, play, hug, clean, tickle, etc. You earn money by visiting and hugging your pet and also by hugging your friends' pets. The more, the merrier! When your friend hugs your pets, you also receive money.

You can go shopping for clothes, furnitures for your pet's house, accessories and battle gears. Yes, battle gears! Your pet can battle other pets and level up! The battle gears are quite expensive, so make the most of it. You can only use the battle gears for 1 day.

It's really fun playing super pets especially if you like taking care of virtual animals.Their clothes are cute and adorable. The graphics is eye candy. Be sure to walk your pet so you can see the colorful neighborhood and visit your friends' pets in their houses.

Play On-Line and Get Paid

MORE OF PERSONA 4

I have finally finished Persona 4. It's surprising that there are different endings! I will not tell you the ending so as not to spoil your game. I will just give you some tips. First, try to build your social links with your team mates first. They gain special skills in battle when your social levels up. When it reaches its maximum, something more special will happen.

About the game's endings.My first 2 endings were not that good. I wasnt able to solve the mystery behind the killings in the town. I almost gave up. I tried different answers or choices but the ending was still bad. It will all depend on the choices you make in the hospital scene. Be sure to save so you can go back and try the other options. Fortunately, through perseverance, i got the right answer and the ending became different.

Persona 4 is the funniest game I've ever played! I hope you give it a try!

THE SIMS CASTAWAY (PSP) TIPS

Like other SIMS games, this one is very addicting. The difference is that this games has an ending. There are goals for the sims to do while stranded on the island. You will also find pieces of the treasure map. I was able to finish the game without getting the last piece of the map. It's really disappointing that i can't find the last one! There are no walkthroughs available yet. Anyway, here are some tips i can give you...

WARNING: contains spoilers
* At the beginning, you will be asked to create your sim. I would like to remind you that you can create your own crew with a maximum of 6 people. My sister only created 1 sim and she was surprised when she saw me controlling 6 sims. You may create only 1 if you like. Believe me you can finish the game with only one sim.
* There are monkeys in the game. Dont shoo them. Chat and give them bananas. When you befriend them, they will harvest resources for you. Interacting with them increases your socials.
*Gather as much resources as you can to stock up on items and build body&mechanical skills. Stock up on woods, leaves and materials for the rope. You'll be needing lotsa ropes.
*To make tools and object plans, you will need a working bench. Your first working bench are the two large stones you will find in the island.There are 2 working benches you will find. Later on, you can upgrade your working bench by making your own. Again, gather resources.
*When making firepits, be sure to place it far from objects to avoid fire. Firepits can be used for cooking and increasing fun. Sit over the fire and call another sim then tell a ghost or funny story. You may build a home tiki near it and declare the area your home. I suggest building your home at the beach. You may change homes.
*Building hut or shack with walls can be irritating cos you cant see inside it. When asked to build a hut, you may move the roof after building it so you can see what your sims are doing. Placement of objects will also be easier.You may remove the walls.
*Once you find your crew, you cannot control them right away. You must first befriend them before you can ask them to join the tribe. Once you accomplished this, press L1 and L or R arrow key to move to another sim.
*After reading the message bottles, keep the bottles coz you will need them later in the game.
*You may use the map to travel to another area or island that you have travelled. Move the arrow keys to highlight your area of choice.
*When you find a hidden island, you will get a treasure map. Unfortunately a part of it was eaten by a shark. Be sure to go fishing for the shark to get the map.
*In the dark cave you will see a big door. You can open it later in the game when you find Llama King's Crown. You will find the crown in the volcano's interior.
*It is advisable to focus on only 1 sim to build skills.You can switch to other sims while your main sim is asleep then switch back to your main sim before he wakes up.
*You can make clothes during the game. Be sure to gather lotsa resources like leaves, vines and grass. You will be surprised that some sims will grow beards, hair and will look unkempt. You can change their looks in the option menu. I made some sims wear the handmade clothes that i made and they didnt grow their hair and beards. Maybe changing their clothes affects their grooming.
*There are 2 ways to get off the island: by boat or sending an SOS. Once you have built a catamaran or repair a transmitter on top of the volcano, the game will end. If you havent finished your goals, there will be an option in the end if you wanna return to the island and finish the goals.

PERSONA 4

I just started playing Persona4 2 weeks ago. Just like Persona3, the game is very addicting. Plus, there's a lovable character that's so cute.... TEDDIE!!!
There are lotsa similarities from the previous Persona game. The main character is a student and you're able to establish social links with the people you meet in school, shopping district, etc. I'm halfway through the game and i developed a system of spending my days so that i develop my skills to the maximum while establishing strong social links.
The trick here is to go 1x a wk to train and fight. Unlike in Persona3, the characters in Persona4 dont get exhausted right away. That's why i stock up on healing items before going to the tv. Once i'm in the tv, i'll train as long as i can to level up and gather items. Gather as many items as you can so that new weapons,armors&accessories can be made. Sometimes it needs 10 or more to make a new weapon.
Collect chest keys.After finishing the castle, go to the sauna. When you return to the castle, the map starts over again& you can reopen the chests.
Always SAVE so that when there's Q&A in class, you can reset the game if you answered wrong.
